Bethanne Anderson holds a BFA and an MFA in painting and drawing from BYU and has studied on scholarship at the School of Visual Arts in New York and the Florence Academy of Art. Additionally, she trained with Anthony Ryder in Santa Fe. An accomplished illustrator of 13 children’s books, Anderson’s work has earned her the Boston Globe-Horn Book Honor, the Jane Addams Children’s Book Award for Peace, the Golden Kite Award, and the Southwest Library Association’s Best Children’s Book Award. Her art has been recognized in the Society of Illustrators Original Show, Communication Arts, various national exhibitions, and is featured in both museum and private collections.
