Despite the tongue-in-cheek title we gave our own magazine (“15 Bytes” refers to Andy Warhol’s famous quip that in the future we would all be famous for 15 minutes), we’ve never been about the quick glance. If so, we would have given our coverage of Utah’s art scene over to tweets and Instagram posts.
Art, we believe, deserves more than that.

What is 15 Bytes?
In 2001, we started 15 Bytes as a community-based magazine about the arts in Utah: produced by members of our local community, about our local community, benefiting our local community.
It’s an open forum. An exploration of the vitality of Utah’s art scene. And it has lasted and continued to thrive because it has been a community effort.
Without financial support from individuals in the community we would never have made it over the past 14 years.
Where does my money go?
Our general operating expenses are covered by grants we received from private foundations and government entities. That means every dollar you are able to donate goes directly towards coverage of Utah’s art scene..
We need your help to keep going another 6 months.
