In Deserts We Have Crossed, Laura Hope Mason, Claire Tollstrup, and Elizabeth Sanchez present a collaborative exhibition exploring themes of endurance, transformation, memory, and place. Through distinct yet interconnected artistic practices, the artists reflect on emotional and physical landscapes shaped by migration, resilience, ecological change, and personal history. The exhibition considers the desert as both a literal environment and a metaphorical space of passage, vulnerability, and survival.
Laura Hope Mason is a multidisciplinary artist whose work investigates materiality, environment, and systems of connection through sculpture and installation. Claire Tollstrup is an artist whose practice explores memory, landscape, and the emotional resonance of objects and spaces through carefully constructed visual narratives. Elizabeth Sanchez is an artist whose work addresses identity, cultural inheritance, and belonging through layered imagery and material exploration. Together, their practices create a dialogue around shared experiences of transition and adaptation.
