Bountiful
May 22 – August 28, 2026
Anthropocene is a curated group exhibition examining how artists interpret and engage with land as a site of history, transformation, memory, and intervention. Through photography, sculpture, installation, and moving image, the exhibition considers ancestral land practices, environmental change, infrastructure, displacement, and ecological systems, emphasizing the complex relationships between human activity and the natural world. Rather than presenting landscape as static or untouched, the featured works reveal place as dynamic and contested—marked by extraction, erosion, preservation, habitation, and renewal. Grounded in the context of Utah and the American West, the exhibition reflects on how landscapes become active records of cultural, political, and spiritual experience in the proposed geological epoch shaped by human impact.
