Inspired by the symbolism of the Chinese New Year Fire Horse, Year of the Horse brings together paintings, photography, sculpture, and mixed-media works that explore the horse as subject and symbol. The exhibition features dynamic portraits and interpretations of the horse by a diverse group of artists working across a range of styles and media.
Participating artists include Shonto Begay, Michael Coles, Phil Epp, Alexandra Fuller, Jim Jacobs, Lenka Konopasek, Stanley Natchez, Kevin Red Star, Ben Steele, Billy Schenck, Mike Whiting, and others.
The exhibition opens during June Gallery Stroll with a reception on June 19.
