In Let’s Get Personal: Faces of Humanity, Stacy Phillips reimagines portraiture beyond physical likeness, using expressive mark-making and layered works on paper to convey emotional presence and shared human connection. Guided by curiosity and intuitive process, her practice encourages viewers to release certainty, remain flexible in thought, and reflect on the evolving nature of perspective.
Stacy Phillips is a Salt Lake City–based artist and instructor whose work expands the language of portraiture through gestures, symbols, and marks that highlight common ground across identities. Rooted in a lifelong curiosity about human nature and a deep creative lineage, her art invites empathy and contemplation.
