Reception: April 3, 6–8 pm
To Live is to Dance brings together paintings and photographs by Kathy Castleton and Chuck Castleton, centered on Native American powwow traditions. The collaborative exhibition pairs vivid photographic documentation with painterly interpretations, capturing the movement, regalia, and cultural vitality of powwow gatherings.
Through their combined practices, the Castletons explore the expressive power of dance as both a cultural and communal act, emphasizing rhythm, identity, and continuity.
A portion of proceeds from the exhibition supports MMIR Utah’s Medicine Forward campaign.
