Curated by Vicky Lowe K’ulu, Weaving Memories highlights the many ways textile traditions continue across communities today. Featuring backstrap weaving, wool textiles, embroidery, lacework, beading, natural dyes, and fiber arts, the exhibition centers Indigenous and diasporic perspectives and celebrates textiles as living practices that connect people to identity, community, and land. Through works grounded in both ancestral knowledge and contemporary expression, the show reflects how textile-making serves as a repository of cultural memory and a means of sustaining relationships across generations.
