Patterns of Place presents ceramic and mixed media works exploring memory, domestic life, and the stories carried by everyday objects. Aurora Hughes Villa layers architectural and botanical motifs to consider how personal and cultural histories are embedded within place, while Janimarie Lester DeRose’s textured vessels examine grief, generational memory, and the resonance of domestic objects as markers of lived experience. Together, the artists offer contemplative reflections on how environments shape identity and how the traces of the past remain present within familiar forms.
