Ty Mecham is a commercial and editorial photographer whose work spans still life, interiors, food, portraiture, and fashion. Known for his richly nuanced use of color, texture, and stylized lighting, he brings a sculptural sensibility to photographic space—whether building an image on set, drawing, or constructing objects by hand. Raised in the United States, Europe, and Central America, Mecham has long drawn energy from travel and place, and after more than a decade in New York City—where he collaborated with leading figures such as Michael Thompson, Patrick Demarchelier, Annie Leibovitz, Karl Lagerfeld, Rodney Smith, and Roland Bello—he has recently relocated his home and business to the Greater Salt Lake City region. His work has been exhibited in New York galleries and featured in both print and online publications. Mecham holds a BFA in photography.
