The Salt Lake Art Museum (SLAM) celebrates its grand opening on Pioneer Day, opening the doors of Utah’s first museum dedicated exclusively to Utah artists. Housed in the restored historic B’nai Israel Temple, the new institution aims to preserve and celebrate Utah’s artistic legacy while providing a permanent home for exhibitions focused on artists from across the state.
Opening exhibitions will highlight the breadth of Utah art, including a major exhibition featuring the work of Julia Reagan. The free public celebration will include exhibitions, community activities, and opportunities to explore the museum’s new home and mission.
