Bountiful
July 31 – August 28, 2026
Drawing on the human body, botanical forms, repetition, and patterns, Jaxsen M. Layton explores how conscious, subconscious, and unconscious experiences accumulate over time to shape our relationship with the world and one another. In Familiar Satiation, the artist considers the effects of constant exposure to information, creating paintings and drawings that transform layered visual stimuli into compositions that are both obscured and strikingly present.
The exhibition reflects Layton’s interest in cycles of change and perception, with imagery that suggests movement, transformation, and continual rebuilding. Influenced by biology, anatomy, technology, and psychological processes, his work uses drawing and painting to investigate the shifting boundaries between order and disorder, familiarity and uncertainty.
