SALT LAKE CITY
October 30, 2026
Reception: Friday, October 30, 5:30–7:30 p.m.
Tracy Aviary presents a closing exhibition featuring paintings created by artist Alison H. Spencer during her residency, which began in June 2026. Inspired by the birds at the aviary and Utah’s wetlands, Spencer’s portraits highlight the diversity and beauty of native bird species and the habitats they depend on. Her work also reflects on the future of the Great Salt Lake and surrounding marshes amid ongoing development, inviting viewers to consider the wildlife that may be lost as the region changes. Visitors can view paintings and prints, hear Spencer discuss her work, and enjoy light refreshments. Prints will be available for purchase.
