is a Mapleton, Utah–based oil painter whose work celebrates the beauty and significance of everyday objects. Raised in the Salt Lake Valley, she earned an associate degree from Snow College in 2014 and a BFA from Utah Valley University in 2016. Working primarily in still life, Simonsen uses careful observation, light, color, and composition to reveal the unique character of ordinary subjects. Her paintings invite viewers to look more closely at familiar objects, finding beauty, story, and meaning in details that are often overlooked.
