In Without Care, Michelle Wentling presents a body of work examining fragility, control, and the quiet tensions embedded within domestic and personal spaces. Through layered compositions and materially sensitive processes, Wentling explores the emotional residue carried by objects, routines, and environments that often go unnoticed. The work navigates themes of vulnerability and containment, inviting viewers to consider how care can be expressed, withheld, or complicated through everyday experience.
Michelle Wentling is an artist based in Salt Lake City whose practice centers on painting and mixed media processes. Her work investigates perception, emotional atmosphere, and the subtle psychological dynamics of interior life through abstraction and accumulated surface.
