The Neuro Artist Residency at Birch Creek Service Ranch

Deadline/Due Date: Rolling applications (August 15 – May 15 residency cycle)

An immersive, month-long artist residency offering time, space, and flexibility for creative exploration in a rural setting. Located at Spring City, the residency takes place on an 80-acre ranch surrounded by piñon and juniper foothills. Artists are housed in private bedrooms within a lodge or small house and have access to shared amenities including a commercial kitchen, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, wood-burning stove, and a woodshop.

Each session hosts up to four artists, fostering optional community while preserving individual autonomy. The program emphasizes process over product, with no required outcomes or deliverables. Artists are encouraged to bring their own materials, though some supplies and workspace are available onsite.

The surrounding area offers a small but active arts community, with nearby galleries, events through Spring City Arts, and programming at Snow College. Natural attractions such as Maple Canyon and Mystic Hot Springs are also within reach.

This residency is designed for artists seeking an unstructured environment to support creative practice, reflection, and experimentation.
