The Museum of Utah officially opens its doors on June 27 with a daylong public celebration at the Utah State Capitol Complex. Timed to coincide with the nation’s 250th anniversary commemorations, the event invites visitors to be among the first to explore the museum’s galleries and engage with exhibitions dedicated to Utah’s history and culture.
The celebration will include live entertainment from local performers, family-friendly activities presented by community partners, food trucks, performances, and special events throughout the day. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and activities across the Capitol grounds will mark the museum’s public debut.
