The Moab Arts Council (MAC), a state and federally recognized 501(c)(3) organization, was first organized in 1961 and formally incorporated in 1987. Originally founded by Texas Gulf employees and their spouses, MAC has evolved to meet the growing demand for arts in the Moab community. Today, the council serves as an arts advocacy, leadership, and granting organization, offering 501(c)(3) umbrella status to individuals and groups seeking funding and managing the distribution of arts-related funds from the Moab City Council. With a mission to promote and support the arts in Southeastern Utah, MAC believes that arts activities and education enhance community well-being and contribute to economic diversity, helping make Moab a more vibrant and livable place.
