The University of Utah Department of Art & Art History presents Just Add Air, an exhibition featuring work by nine students who participated in a plein air painting residency at the university’s Taft-Nicholson Center in July 2026. Brisa Aguirre Jurado, Miah Alfred, Ella Bunch, Kim Johnston, Tracy Lehfedt, Tai Lester, Liam Loveday, Kieran Luca and Sarah Snow spent six full days painting outdoors while also meeting with guest speakers from around the valley.
The residency culminated in an exhibition at the Taft-Nicholson Center; Just Add Air brings that work to Salt Lake City and the Gittins Gallery, offering the broader community a look at the students’ experiences painting directly from the landscape.
