This Saturday, June 10th, a visual arts benefit will be held to aid police, sherrifs and firefighters who have been affected by harmful, toxic chemicals encountered in the line of duty while dealing with illegal methamphetamine labs.
This event is being organized by the The American Detoxification Foundation, in partnership with the Utah Attorney General, Mark Shurtleff, and the Utah Arts Alliance. Local artists will display and sell their art at Liberty Park, 600 East and 1000 South in Salt Lake City, Sunday June 10th between 2 and 6 p.m. Live music will entertain event participants free of charge.
The benefit will raise money to send officers, and firefighters to a very effective detoxification program developed in New York City to help the first responders who sustained toxic exposure at Ground Zero.
