Hadley Rampton is a young landscape artist who has been attracting a lot of attention. She will be showing her plein-air work in an exhibition with landscape artist Dave Hall at Phillips Gallery that opens May 18th.
What hangs above your mantel?
Unfortunately I don’t have a mantel, (no fireplace), but I do have several wonderful paintings hanging by a variety of Utah Artists.
What is your favorite building in Utah?
I would have to say the Salt Lake Public Library for it’s great design and for what it provides to the public.
What is the most memorable exhibit you’ve seen recently?
A Giacometti exhibit I happened to stumble upon last May in a small town called Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic. Along with being a wonderfully thought provoking exhibit, the unexpectedness of it definitely contributed to it’s allure.
