Salt Lake City
September 29 – November 1, 2026
Artist Reception: Friday, October 16, 6–9 p.m.
Urban Arts Gallery’s Freak Show ventures into the strange, uncanny and gloriously abnormal. Inspired by carnival sideshows, curiosities, oddities and the macabre, the group exhibition features work embracing the unusual, creepy, grotesque and fantastical.
Distorted forms, surreal characters, dark humor, exaggerated bodies, eerie narratives and visual spectacles create experiences that range from quietly unsettling to unabashedly theatrical. The exhibition invites viewers to confront what they fear, desire or don’t fully understand while celebrating outsiders and art that refuses to behave.
