Micah Christensen
Micah Bleiweiss Christensen is an art historian, curator, and writer specializing in the education of Western artists in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. He holds a PhD in the History of Art from University College London and a Master’s in Fine and Decorative Arts from Sotheby’s Institute of Art. Over the past twenty-five years, he has conducted research in archives and museums across Europe and the United States, including the Museo del Prado, Musée d’Orsay, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He has lectured internationally, written for Fine Art Connoisseur, served as a juror for major art competitions—including the Springville Spring Salon—and founded Bearded Roman, a platform for writing about art for an international audience.
Each year since 1924, the Springville Museum of Art has hosted a contemporary art competition called the Spring Salon.
