Brekke Sjoblom, raised in Utah, draws inspiration from the state’s diverse landscapes, from mountains to deserts, which have shaped both childhood and family memories. Her watercolor paintings capture moments in nature using patterns, shapes, and textures rather than exact reproductions. The inked line work helps to emphasize the details. Balancing art and motherhood, the artist embraces interruptions, using them to build layers in her work. With a BFA from the University of Utah, creativity has always been a driving force in her life.
