Del Dicho al Hecho — Luis Rosado Montes
Salt Lake County’s Civic Museum presents Del Dicho al Hecho, an exhibition by Oaxacan artist Luis Rosado Montes. Created in partnership with the Consulate of Mexico in Salt Lake City, the exhibition brings traditional Mexican dichos (sayings) to life through vibrant paintings inspired by the handwoven rebozos of Mitla, Oaxaca.
Blending visual storytelling, textile traditions, and cultural memory, Rosado Montes explores the wisdom passed down through generations and the enduring traditions that continue to shape Mexican identity.
The opening reception will feature traditional Oaxacan cuisine, remarks from community leaders, and an opportunity to meet the artist.
