The Soul of the West features 14 black-and-white photographs by Utah-based artist Seth Stern, known as The Cowboy Photographer. Installed outdoors along Broadway in downtown Salt Lake City, the exhibition captures the resilience, culture, and quiet dignity of cowboy life through intimate portraiture and candid documentary moments. Exploring themes of identity, faith, perseverance, and transformation, Stern’s photographs bring the enduring spirit of the American West into the public sphere through Craft Lake City’s Celebration of the Hand series.
