Mimi Chen Ting: Make Movement Visible celebrates the life and work of Chinese American artist Mimi Chen Ting, whose paintings, prints, and performances span more than five decades. From the 1960s through the early 2020s, Ting developed a dynamic body of work centered on movement in its many forms—from the gesture of the artist’s hand to the movement of bodies in space, musical structures, and the lived experience of migration across borders.
Organized in collaboration with the artist’s family, the exhibition introduces new audiences to the breadth and depth of Ting’s practice, highlighting her contributions to contemporary art and her exploration of identity, motion, and time.
