I am an artist and art teacher based out of Salt Lake City, UT. I draw inspiration from life and my personal experiences – whether it’s from the places I have been, the people I’ve met, the people I love, or the highs and lows of my life journey. My subjects range from portraits, landscapes, and scenes from life.
Artist Statement
Painting has been a way for me to express things that are difficult for me to do with words. I lost my mother when I was young and she suffered from mental and physical illness. I have carried the grief and pain with me my whole life, but have somehow been resilient. I feel the void and the loss heavily, but I still find I am still reaching and striving for a joy and peace in my life. My hope with my art is to articulate feelings associated with grief and resilience.
