Clay Arts Utah invites members to submit ceramic work for this juried group exhibition at the Bountiful Davis Art Center’s Underground Gallery. Playing on the homophones “pairs,” “pears” and “pares,” the exhibition explores how spoken language can inspire different approaches to clay. Works may depict objects in pairs, use pears as a motif or trompe l’oeil subject, or emphasize reductive techniques such as incising and carving. Artists may submit up to two pieces for consideration. The exhibition will be juried by multimedia artist Colour Maisch and ceramicist Kevin Frazier.
