Modern West Fine Art will host author and conservationist Heidi Redd for an artist lecture and book signing in conjunction with the gallery’s exhibition Under Open Skies. Redd will discuss her book, A Cowgirl’s Conservation Journey: Stories from the Dugout Ranch, which brings together stories and photographs from her life at the historic Dugout Ranch near Canyonlands National Park. The book highlights Redd’s partnership with The Nature Conservancy to preserve the ranch’s biodiversity and red rock landscape. The event will also be presented alongside landscape artworks inspired by Redd’s property.
