Larissa Trout<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Spy Hop Productions has named Larissa Trout as its next executive director, the organization announced. A longtime member of the Spy Hop team, Trout will step into the role on March 21, 2025.<\/p>\n

With more than 15 years at the nonprofit youth media arts organization, Trout has served in various leadership roles, most recently as associate director. \u201cLarissa is a visionary leader, a passionate advocate for the arts, and a steadfast believer in the power of young people,\u201d said Daela Taeoailii-Higgs, chair of Spy Hop\u2019s board of directors.<\/p>\n

Trout\u2019s background as a dancer, artist, and arts advocate informs her approach to leadership. \u201cI am honored to step into the role of executive director at Spy Hop,\u201d she said. \u201cMy journey from artist to executive director is a testament to the unexpected paths life can take.\u201d<\/p>\n

She succeeds Kasandra VerBrugghen, whose 17-year tenure helped establish Spy Hop as a leader in youth arts education. VerBrugghen was instrumental in securing the organization\u2019s permanent home at the Kahlert Youth Media Arts Center and establishing a legacy fund to sustain its free programming. \u201cWe are incredibly grateful for Kasandra VerBrugghen\u2019s extraordinary leadership over the past 17 years,\u201d Taeoalii-Higgs continued. \u201cHer legacy has shaped Spy Hop into the impactful organization it is today.\u201d<\/p>\n
