This year\u2019s showcase features over 200 artists from Utah and the Western United States, with a variety of works spanning traditional and contemporary styles.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"532\" data-end=\"993\">Best in Show was awarded to &#8220;Legacy&#8221; by Alexander Selytin, a striking oil painting that continues the artist\u2019s exploration of Native American culture. Originally from Russia, Selytin trained at the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts before moving to the United States, where he became known for his highly detailed depictions of Indigenous artifacts and traditions. He now lives in Provo, Utah and his work can be found in numerous collections, including the Springville Museum of Art.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<div id=\"attachment_90711\" style=\"width: 353px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-90711\" class=\"wpa-warning wpa-image-missing-alt wp-image-90711 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/artistsofutah.org\/15Bytes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/winbord-343x550.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"343\" height=\"550\" data-warning=\"Missing alt text\" srcset=\"https:\/\/artistsofutah.org\/15Bytes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/winbord-343x550.png 343w, https:\/\/artistsofutah.org\/15Bytes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/winbord-638x1024.png 638w, https:\/\/artistsofutah.org\/15Bytes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/winbord.png 657w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 343px) 100vw, 343px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-90711\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Larry Conrad Winborg, &#8220;In Your Face,&#8221; oil on board<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p data-start=\"995\" data-end=\"1402\">The Purchase Prize Winner went to &#8220;Fully Finished Flowering&#8221; by Salt Lake City artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tylerhuntzinger.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tyler Huntzinger<\/a>. Huntzinger, known for his innovative use of materials, combines oil paint with asphalt, creating layered, dreamlike textures. His background in painting, printmaking, and ceramics from the University of Utah informs his experimental approach, resulting in compositions that feel both timeless and contemporary.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1404\" data-end=\"1819\">The Curator\u2019s Choice Award was given to &#8220;In Your Face&#8221; by <a href=\"http:\/\/winborg.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Larry Conrad Winborg<\/a>, a dynamic oil painting that showcases his mastery of motion and Western themes. Winborg, whose career includes illustrations for <em data-start=\"1621\" data-end=\"1641\">Sports Illustrated<\/em> and <em data-start=\"1646\" data-end=\"1663\">Reader\u2019s Digest<\/em>, is widely respected for his ability to capture energy and emotion on canvas.
