Full Color: A Bold and Authentic Premiere at The Rose<\/h3>\n

From October 24 to November 10, 2024, the Studio Theatre at The Rose will host the world premiere of Full Color<\/em>, a powerful and barrier-breaking production featuring eight BIPOC playwrights and their personal stories. Each monologue presents a nuanced perspective on the BIPOC experience in Utah, with works by Tatiana Christian, Chris Curlett, Dee-Dee Darby-Duffin, Courtney Dilmore, Bijan J. Hosseini, Tito Livas, Iris Salazar, and Darryl Stamp. Performed by a talented cast of actors, Full Color<\/em> delves into themes that are simple, straightforward, and deeply authentic, while challenging stereotypes and offering extraordinary insights into BIPOC lives. The performances will run Thursdays through Sundays, with ASL and sensory-friendly shows on select Saturdays. On October 29, 2024, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, the Tanner Humanities Center will host An Evening with Percival Everett<\/em> at Kingsbury Hall, University of Utah. Percival Everett, a Distinguished Professor of English at the University of Southern California and award-winning author of 25 novels, including Erasure<\/em> (recently adapted as the film American Fiction<\/em>) and the Booker Prize-nominated James<\/em>, will engage in an unscripted conversation with University of Utah faculty members Jeremy Rosen and Rone Shavers.
