Renowned visual artist John Bukaty takes his role as the Park City Song Summit Artist in Residence seriously.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the most part, I\u2019m there to serve art for the musicians,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m a collaborator, a co-creator and conduit for these musicians to create visual art.\u201d<\/p>\n

Song Summit attendees will get the opportunity to meet and see Bukaty in action during the three-day event that runs Aug. 15-17 at the Canyons Village.<\/p>\n

Calling all collectors: 35 Utah artists will put their art skills to the test this weekend, at the first\u00a0StickerCon.<\/p>\n

The event on Sunday is hosted by\u00a0Copperhive Vintage, a vintage and indie artist shop in South Salt Lake \u2014 and owner Jacqueline Whitmore said the inspiration came from one of the store\u2019s popular vendor markets.<\/p>\n

\u201cCopperhive Vintage kind of essentially got started by doing flea markets and [other] markets,\u201d Whitmore said, and applying that model to their brick-and-mortar store was a natural fit \u2014 with the added benefit of creating a community space.<\/p>\n

In the 2024 Best of the Beehive,\u00a0Modern West Fine Art\u00a0in Salt Lake City was named Utah\u2019s best art gallery, and\u00a0Shalee Cooper\u00a0was recognized as Utah\u2019s best artist. The Salt Lake City Arts Council\u2019s \u201cOut of the Blue\u201d sculpture, known as The Whale, won best installation\/sculpture\/mural and\u00a0Ogden Contemporary Arts\u00a0came in second for best museum.<\/p>\n
