These are influenced by geological structures, botanical life, and Jane Bennett&#8217;s concept that inanimate objects have more of a life than we think.<\/p>\n<p>What exactly is the form we see in &#8220;Getting to Know You&#8221;? Some furry mammal, its face obscured by spaghetti-like strands of hair? Or a sea creature we might find on a coral reef, enlarged for the gallery wall? Ultimately, it is dirt, combined with fire and pigment.
