\"\"<\/a>Camilla Stark is a multidisciplinary artist living in Provo, Utah. She was raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and holds a BFA in Industrial Design from Brigham Young University. She works full time as a user experience designer, and prioritizes her artwork in her spare time. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and uses her artwork to explore Mormonism, esotericism, visions, and paradoxes. She is diagnosed with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, a disease that often leads to one-sided, black & white thinking\u2014which is why her artwork deals with accepting duality. She is also a curator & community organizer through the grassroots art collective The ARCH-HIVE, which she co-founded with the anonymous artist Laz in 2019. Their 2022 art show was featured on the front pages of the Salt Lake Tribune and the Provo Daily Herald. Camilla lives with her husband Rusden Scott (who is also an artist) and their one-eyed cat in their home in Provo.<\/p>\n

ARTIST STATEMENT<\/strong>
\nCamilla Stark is a multidisciplinary artist who makes art about life & death, light & dark, and love & fear. Her artwork communicates strong religious and environmental themes, conveyed through Biblical, esoteric, and natural-world symbolism. Her primary mediums are ink drawing, block printing, cyanotype, embroidery, and digital art. She is a fervent environmentalist who uses art as an activism tool. Her artist alter ego, The Desert Prophet, is an ongoing performance piece where she dresses in a Western-inspired outfit & skull mask and preaches about climate repentance.<\/p>\n
