\"\"<\/a>Rosa Bandeirinha (pronoun indifferent) is a communications professional, artist, and immigrant based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Rosa earned a Master\u2019s Degree in Architecture in her native country Portugal. Rosa\u2019s work is driven by the exploration of emotional community landscapes with curiosity and imagination. Rosa is honored to be one of the artists responsible for the public artwork at the Three Creeks Confluence in the Jordan River Parkway, and to have been included in exhibits such as Rainbow Renaissance at the Leonardo in June 2023, and the 9Line gallery stroll in November 2023, among others. \u201cI experience art both as a tool to and the result of sharing authenticity in a world that doesn\u2019t always allow it.\u201d Rosa is also an organizing member of Queer Spectra Arts Festival, a multi medium arts event for the LGBTQ+ community. Rosa is passionate about public art, graphic design, the urban space, and social justice.<\/p>\n

ARTIST STATEMENT<\/strong>
\nI experience art both as a tool to and the result of sharing authenticity in a world that doesn\u2019t always allow it. As a queer immigrant artist fortunate to build community in Utah, I work to develop creative communication \u2013 verbal and visual \u2013 as a powerful and essential advocacy tool for belonging and fear deconstruction. I express my enthusiasm for self-discovery and my deep curiosity for humanity through painting, design, architecture, and poetry \u2013 all of which I have the pleasure to share occasionally with the local community with the hope to create expanding dialogues.<\/p>\n
