Cassie Dee Oveson is a self-taught contemporary artist from Northern Utah. Most recognized for her work with fluid acrylic, she loves creating whimsical and energetic pieces.<\/div>\n

“I’ve always been a creative soul but painting was never on my radar until my late 20’s.\u00a0 I was suffering from depression at the time and in an effort to switch up my routine, I began painting at night after work. Something lit up inside me with those first brushstrokes. I could not get enough! I painted every night, exploring all kinds of techniques, and as my life filled up with color, the house filled up with canvases.<\/div>\n

A few short months later I sold my first series of paintings and have been fearlessly pursuing this passion ever since. There is a healing magic to art that goes beyond the creator. Being able to share that energy with others through my work makes it all the more meaningful.”<\/div>\n

Cassie regularly sells and exhibits her work at local art festivals, galleries and on social media @cassiedee.art. Her colorful works can be found in homes dotted across the United States.<\/div>\n


\nARTIST STATEMENT<\/strong>
\nMy work is a celebration of energy expressed through color and movement. When I paint I let go of any preconceptions of what the piece should be and using a combination of techniques; including brushes, knives, finger painting and even my breath, I allow the natural energy and flow of the paint to guide me. The interactive nature of the way this manifests is my favorite part of sharing my work. Each person may see or feel something different from the same piece. I believe this wide range of experiences is a reaction to the energy of the artwork, interacting with the energy inside each of us. A reminder of that invisible string that connects us all together.<\/p>\n
