Textiles are complex; photography is complex, even more so when the digital age started,&#8221; Sant\u00edz, who is also a weaver and textile designer, said in Spanish. &#8220;The process of weaving has been forgotten. Only a few women still practice the natural process. &#8230; My interest is to recover ancient knowledge that is lost and forgotten.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.deseret.com\/utah\/2023\/8\/21\/23840400\/art-exhibit-brings-life-southern-mexico-highlands-orem\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">READ MORE<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n8\/21 Salt Lake City Arts Council<\/strong> has announced that Amy Childress has joined their team as the Public Art Program Coordinator. Hay grew up in Oklahoma and received an associate of arts degree from Northern Oklahoma College, a bachelor of arts degree from Northeastern State University, and a master of fine arts degree from Louisiana Tech University. He\u00a0is co-founder of PROArtes M\u00e9xico and was most recently a grant consultant with ASU Art Museum in Tempe, Arizona. Dr. Stewart will work with faculty across campus to utilize the museum in their teaching and research, research the collection, curate exhibitions and serve as an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Art and Design. Stewart completed her MPhil and PhD in Art History at the Graduate Center, CUNY, and her BA and MA degrees at Brigham Young University.
