\"\"<\/a>There is a deeply embedded theme in my work \u2013\u00a0your journey will lead you home \u2013 that place where you want to be.\u00a0 To some, it\u2019s a place of peace, a state of healing, or away from the daily grind or turmoil to an idyllic place at the end of the path where the sun is warm and breezes flow without end. \u00a0My early family life \u2013 filled with both joy and deep struggles \u2013 has greatly affected my art – every brush stroke.\u00a0 So yes, each painting is my own personal journey to find that place of peace, hope and unending beauty.<\/p>\n

Often collectors describe how my imagery\u00a0calls them to enter the painting and start strolling down that path or along the quiet stream to a place in the horizon where life is how it should be. \u00a0A gallery manager told me of a businessman that would come several times a week to see my paintings during lunch because it helped him shake the stress of his job.<\/p>\n

Deliberate use of color and its placement, learned from years of study under European Masters – has given me the tools to allow this theme to emerge in every work of art I create.\u00a0 The most impactful skill gleaned from them is that in both life and painting – \u201clight comes from darkness\u201d. \u00a0I use this extensively in my creative process to communicate, through color and form, that there is peace and joy in life’s journey \u2013 in everyday life or in the midst of great strife.<\/p>\n

Each painting I create comes from a place of emotion \u2013 present or past \u2013 hopefully touching a chord in in the viewer as it has touched in me. \u00a0I want to help someone envision their own life as a journey to that place where they want to be.<\/p>\n
