15 Bytes was being upgraded, by going from a 6-week publication schedule to a monthly one: You could set your calendar to the first Wednesday of the month, when you’d receive an email announcing a new edition of 15 Bytes.<\/p>\n

In those editions, you’d find the number of gallery initiatives in 2006 was keeping pace with the previous feverish years of the 21st century, and reached across the state, from the\u00a0Staples Art Center<\/a>\u00a0<\/a>in tiny Elsinore to\u00a0Two Sisters Fine Art\u00a0<\/a>in Heber<\/a>,\u00a0Gallery OneTen\u00a0<\/a>in Provo<\/a>,\u00a0Julie Nester Gallery<\/a>\u00a0in Park City,\u00a0andUniverse City\u00a0<\/a>in Ogden. Salt Lake City added four spaces to its list of venues:\u00a0<\/a>Contemporary Design and Art Gallery<\/a>,\u00a0Art at the Main<\/a>,\u00a0Leigh North Gallery\u00a0<\/a>and<\/a>\u00a0Wasatch Frame Shop<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Banker Tom Alder was doing some upgrading of his own, getting out of the world of finance and into his true love: art. On his way to becoming a prominent gallerist, he began his\u00a0<\/a>Alder Accounts<\/a>, a column on Utah’s historical artists that lasted more than 6 years. …<\/p>\n
