Matt Monsoon<\/a> is a Utah-based artist known for his vibrant murals and imaginative illustrative style. Based out of the historic Guthrie Artist Studios in downtown Salt Lake City since 2009, Matt has completed over 25 large public murals across Utah, from Boulder to Logan. His work blends bold color, characters, nature, and storytelling, evoking a sense of place and community that captivates viewers.<\/p>\nMatt’s resume includes major projects like the murals and sculptural installations for the Kearns Public Library (2019-2020), as well as large-scale works at the VOA Homeless Youth Shelter, Brighton Ski Resort, and Midvale\u2019s historic Main Street. His notable mural, The Migrant and the Moon<\/em> (65’x30′), earned him a Bronze Medal in the 2023 National Mural Awards.<\/p>\nIn addition to public art, Matt’s original works are featured in collections such as the Center for the Arts at Salt Lake Community College, Red Iguana restaurant, the University of Utah, and private collections worldwide.
