For some, it will be classics like <em>A Christmas Carol<\/em> or <em>Home Alone<\/em>; others may span out to less traditional fare, like say <em>In Bruges<\/em> (give it a try: if you can get past the profanity and the bloodshed, it&#8217;s a solid holiday movie).<\/p>\n<p>Anything more local? Well, there&#8217;s Richard Paul Evans, who has written a dozen or more Christmas novels. If that&#8217;s not exactly your style, we suggest Larry Menlove&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dialoguejournal.com\/themencode-pdf-viewer\/?file=https:\/\/www.dialoguejournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sbi\/articles\/Dialogue_V41N03_157.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Who Brought Forth this Christmas Demon.&#8221;<\/a> The Spring Lake author&#8217;s work has appeared in many venues and reaped honorable mentions for both Short Story Collection and the Novel categories in the 2020 Utah Original Writing Competition. &#8220;Who Brought Forth this Christmas Demon&#8221; originally appeared in <em>Dialogue:\u00a0A Journal of Mormon Thought<\/em>\u00a0in 2008.
