I grew up in St.George and come from a family of Art Educators. I’ve always thoroughly enjoyed being creative; and after a short stint in music and sports I ended up focusing on the visual arts. I’m now studying an undergraduate degree in Film and Media Arts with a minor in games at the University of Utah.

Artist Statement
I’m what I would describe as a blooming artist. All my artwork is in the realm of experimentation as I learn more and more about the process of creating visual art. Everytime I latch onto a new technique the entire process of how I work changes. As my workflow has played out I’ve found it harder and harder to try and maintain a sign of my hand in each piece. So I’ve tried to do so conceptually instead. I’m heavily influenced by Francisco Goya as well as Salvador Dali. Although I also thoroughly enjoy plein air esque artists such as Vincent Van Gogh and Frank Tenney Johnson. The pieces I’m submitting represent what I feel are my most successful experiments.

Links
https://www.artstation.com/sylvesterpizza

My name is James Hutter and I’m 21 years old.
