Just like the salon with which it shares a wall, the contemporary caf\u00e9 presents contemporary artwork by local artists.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_58542\" style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/artistsofutah.org\/15Bytes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/11\/047.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-58542\" class=\"size-full wp-image-58542\" src=\"https:\/\/artistsofutah.org\/15Bytes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/11\/047.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"667\" srcset=\"https:\/\/artistsofutah.org\/15Bytes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/11\/047.jpg 500w, https:\/\/artistsofutah.org\/15Bytes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/11\/047-350x467.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-58542\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Interior of Caffe Niche<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;We always featured jewelry, dresses, art and furniture over in the salon,&#8221; says manager Tara Southard, &#8220;so we wanted to carry if over into the caf\u00e9.&#8221; They&#8217;ve found that Caffe Niche gets more attention as a space for art because, unlike Dexterity, it doesn\u2019t have a specific clientele.<\/p>\n<p>Together, the salon and the caf\u00e9 take up 4000 square feet with plenty of wall space. They are currently featuring photographer Stephen Wilson and painter Ellen McConnell. The artwork has been primarily networked through clients and family, but Southard and Lumdahl are working out a calendar and a schedule so they can take proposals.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_58540\" style=\"width: 677px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/artistsofutah.org\/15Bytes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/11\/045.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-58540\" class=\"size-full wp-image-58540\" src=\"https:\/\/artistsofutah.org\/15Bytes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/11\/045.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"667\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/artistsofutah.org\/15Bytes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/11\/045.jpg 667w, https:\/\/artistsofutah.org\/15Bytes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/11\/045-350x262.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 667px) 100vw, 667px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-58540\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Interior of Dexterity Salon<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;Dealing with the art is another job in itself,&#8221; Southard admits. &#8220;We underestimated what we were getting ourselves involved in, but it&#8217;s going great.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Caffe Niche is a proud sponsor of the Salt Lake Gallery Stroll. They\u2019re open Tuesday \u2013 Thursday 8 am to 4 pm, 8 am to 3 pm on Sundays, and they are now open for dinner Friday and Saturday nights until 9 pm. In typical gallery fashion, they are closed on Mondays.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re interested in showing at Caffe Niche and Dexterity, simply contact Tara (801.433.3380) or bring in a portfolio.
