She uses natural dyes and shibori techniques\u00a0to create beautiful patterns on silk.\u00a0Shibori is a Japanese manual resist dyeing technique which produces patterns on\u00a0fabric. Shibori has been practiced for hundreds of years.\u00a0Jane uses primarily stitch resist (nui) , itajime (clamp), arashi (pole wrapping), and\u00a0Ne-maki (bound) resist techniques.
