The village selects an artist and projects their work each night on the facades of the historic buildings that make up this village in northern Italy. Duncan is the first American artist selected and was discovered by the town&#8217;s mayor.<\/p>\n<p>The lighting project started in the summer\u00a0of 2016 on the occasion of Christo&#8217;s &#8220;The Floating Piers&#8221; on nearby Lake Iseo. The lighting project was so successful that the local council decided to create a special display for Christmas, 2016. The new, unexpected success convinced Lovere&#8217;s Mayor of the necessity to continue on this path and so in July\u00a02017, the town administration launched \u201cLovere, il borgo della luce\u201d (Lovere, the town of lights), one of the largest architectural lighting projects ever realized in Italy.
