\nLaura Boardman works in oil on canvas doing contemporary realism of western skies and landscapes, as well social art and mix media. Laura works both in her Salt Lake Studio and owns and operates Rabbit Studio\u2019s in Teasdale Utah, hosting artists and teaching workshops. She hopes her work reflects and advocates, respect for Utah\u2019s beauty, people land and artists.<\/p>\n

ARTIST STATEMENT<\/strong>
\nMy Professional evolution blends my journey of visual art and design, living in LA & Sacramento California, to then coming home and earn a Associate\u2019s Degree in Interior Design from Brigham Young University, then founding \u201cLaura\u2019s Interiors Design\u201d, later\u201d Boardman Design\u201d firm specializing in both residential and commercial interiors design specification. After years of managing employee\u2019s and construction deadlines, I felt a drawn back Artistic roots, pursuing a formal education in Fine Art\u2019s. I graduated with my BFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Utah in 2004, to then focused on gallery exhibitions.<\/p>\n

Through gallery work fulfilled me artistically, I missed the human connection of collaborative projects, in social art design and artwork commissions for residence and commercial interiors. I then purchased an old grocery store, empty for 25 years allowing me to create Rabbit Studio\u2019s in Teasdale Utah. Rabbit Studio\u2019s is a gathering place for artist to share stories, learn, collaborate ways to work together in support of all art\u2019s. Design arts, Visual arts, Literary arts, music, dance and performance artis. My past business background helped me navigate the many issues artist need to make a livable wage in today\u2019s art world.<\/p>\n
