The third annual Performance Art Festival is happening this weekend at Salt Lake City’s Main Library. The brainchild of artist Kristina Lenzi and hosted and sponsored by The City Library, the two-day festival features 13 local and out-of-state artists performing throughout the iconic downtown building.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Works performed at the Performance Arts Festival will include interactive pieces like \u201cWait\/Weight,\u201d where Boston-based artist Sandrine Schaefer will be stationed in the revolving door entrance, moving in response to passersby; and solo pieces like \u201cHave a Seat,\u201d where Salt Lake City artist Eugene Tachinni will design and create a fabric shell for one of the Library chairs.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Additional participating artists include Gustaf Broms, Daniel Embree, Macie Hamblin, Bryce Kauffman, Shasta Fletcher Lawton, Dawn Oughton, Gretchen Reynolds, Jorge Rojas, Tony Schwensen, and Holly Moller Somsen.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

All live performances will be original, entertaining, and thought-provoking, and will be suitable for viewers of all ages.
