is an abstract expressionist residing in Salt Lake City. Although he has studied with several local artists, he is primarily self-taught. Jerry paints his soul with all its shadows. He layers acrylic and mixed media onto panels to create engaging textures. <\/a>I was born in Osawatomie, Kansas.\u00a0\u00a0I began singing at a very early age and eventually achieved a Bachelor of Arts in vocal performance.\u00a0\u00a0After leaving corporate life, my passion for painting resurfaced and my desire to be expressive took precedence.\u00a0\u00a0I am influenced by life experiences as well as by music.\u00a0\u00a0I get excited when exploring new materials and techniques.\u00a0\u00a0The creative process is incomplete until I give a painting a title.\u00a0\u00a0I use ambiguous words and phrases as I prefer that viewers have their own experience with each painting.\u00a0\u00a0Like Cecil B. DeMille, \u201cCreativity is a drug I cannot live without.\u201d<\/p>\n
